Jubilee 2006

St. Francis Xavier 500 years born April 7, 1506	Bl. Peter Faber 500 years born April 13, 1506	St. Ignatius Loyola 450 years died July 31, 1556

December 3, 2005 begins a Jubilee year for the Society of Jesus. The jubilee celebrates important events in the lives of three of the founders of the Jesuit order. 2006 marks the 500th anniversary of both Francis Xavier’s and Peter Faber’s births and the 450th year since St. Ignatius’s death. Events are being planned around the world as well as within the Chicago Province to celebrate these important milestones.
